1. What does an aging-in-place consultation include?
We look at how you use your home today and what may need to change for safety and comfort over time. You leave with clear priorities—not a vague list of ideas. In Charlotte we can come to you; from anywhere we can do a remote home review with a prioritized plan.
2. Is the first call free?
Yes. We start with a short conversation to understand your situation and see whether a consultation is the right next step. The consultation itself is the paid service.
3. Are you a contractor?
No. Meredith is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). We plan and guide, including remodel and product choices, and work alongside the designer or contractor.
4. What’s the difference between a CAPS specialist and an OT?
Occupational therapists focus on clinical function and therapy. A CAPS specialist focuses on the home itself—layout, safety, and universal design—so the space supports independence. Many families benefit from both.
5. Do you only serve Charlotte?
Charlotte-area families can meet in home. We also work with families anywhere through a remote home review and a prioritized plan for what to handle first.
